Meet Peggy & Pebbles PR
Hello and welcome! I’m Liza Laws, the founder of Pebbles PR, and this little spark of joy beside me is Peggy, our mischievous mascot and all-round cheerleader for Sussex businesses. Peggy has been with me through thick and thin, and she’s the perfect little symbol of curiosity, determination, and a touch of fun—exactly how I like to approach PR.
I’ve always had a bit of wanderlust in my soul. I spent some childhood years in Bahrain, where my dad was based as a Captain for Tristar with Gulf Air then three seperate and incredible years exploring Southeast Asia, lived in London, soaked up the sun while teaching in Spain, and yet Sussex has always been my true home. It’s here that I’ve built my career, and it’s here that I love helping local businesses shine.
My mission at Pebbles PR is simple: to put Sussex businesses on the map. I do this by telling their stories with passion—writing engaging blogs, securing coverage in regional media (and the nationals when it fits), and running practical PR workshops that cover the dos and don’ts for anyone looking to boost their profile.
I qualified as a senior reporter with the NCTJ in 2004 and started my career cutting my teeth on local papers—doing everything from business and crime reporting to features and magazines. I even spent a few shifts on the national red-tops, partly for experience, partly for a bit of extra cash! Later, I spent three years as a PR manager for a well-known Sussex-based law firm. All this experience has shaped me into the professional writer and given me the chance to work with people from all walks of life—celebrities, victims of crime, and everyone in between. That experience sharpened my storytelling skills, my inquisitive mind, and my knack for finding solutions.
Starting Pebbles PR has been a long-held dream. Working in Sussex for Sussex businesses, helping them grow, shine, and tell their stories—it doesn’t feel like work at all. And with Peggy keeping me on my toes, every day is a little bit brighter.
